Biomedical Research in Pediatric Healthcare
We mainly address Biomedical Research into new approaches for pediatric care, and next level integrative medicine for children with special needs, such as Autism Spectrum Disorders patients and children with persistent behavioural problems.
Our research approach integrates mainstream scientific methodology and new holistic approaches. We address the neurologic aspects of the application field of research, psychologic and behavioral analysis, as well as nutrition-related concerns and multiple allergies assessment.
Dr. Aylin Ozdemir, the president and owner of Pediatric Associates of Jacksonville, has completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona, conducted by world known physician Dr. Andrew Weil. She is also the first pediatrician from the state of Florida trained under the same program. Dr. Ozdemir is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and board certified by the American Board of Holistic and Integrative Medicine. She has a special interest in childhood behavioral problems, academic difficulties, ADHD, allergies, asthma, and genetics.
Dr. Ozdemir attended University of Istanbul Medical School. Following the completion of medical school, she completed her internship in the U.K. with world-renowned experts in medicine at Queen Mary’s Hospital for Children. She next completed residency training in New York, NY at Long Island College Hospital affiliated with the State University of New York and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia with the University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a degree in Integrative Nutrition from the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, as well as degrees for “Art of Healing”, ” Essential Oils”, ” Basics of Botanicals”, “Ayurveda” and Chinese Medicine” and ” Integrative Cancer Prevention”, “Integrative Cardiovascular Disease Prevention”, “Healing Environments Course” and more.
